What’s Your Favorite Thanksgiving Recipe?

November 21, 2011

In honor of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, we at 317 Virtual Services wanted to post our favorite Thanksgiving recipes! What is your favorite recipe?

Alexis Daly’s Favorite Recipe: Coca-Cola Ham

“This Coca-Cola Ham is one of my favorite recipes! All the ingredients combine and caramelize to make the most perfect, sweet and juicy ham!”

½ ham (5-6 lb.)
1 cup brown sugar
1 ½ cup Coca-Cola®
1 cup crushed pineapple (optional)
Wash ham thoroughly. Rub fat side with brown sugar. Pour Coca-Cola over ham.
Pour crushed pineapple over ham. Bake at 450 degrees for 3 hours. Makes 6
servings.
This is a great recipe and keeps the ham very moist.

Hana Boyce’s Favorite Recipe – Deviled Eggs

“Deviled eggs are a staple appetizer at my house during Thanksgiving. Simple to make, and fun to eat, deviled eggs are perfect crowd pleasers!”

6 hard-cooked eggs, peeled and cut lengthwise
¼ cup Light Mayonnaise or Salad Dressing
½ teaspoon dry ground mustard
½ teaspoon white vinegar
1/8 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
Paprika for garnish

Pop out (remove) the egg yolks to a small bowl and mash with a fork. Add mayonnaise, mustard powder, vinegar, salt and pepper and mix thoroughly. Fill the empty egg white shells with the mixture and sprinkle lightly with paprika.

Cover lightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to one day before serving.

Let us know what your favorite recipe is! Feel free to leave the recipe in our comments.

To be honest I’m British. As such, I’ve never really had “thanksgiving recipes”. But I did recently make, and blog, a rather divine pumpkin pie. It was delicious. So I guess that must be my favourite.
